Had a car key needing replacement due to being worn. Rang on Saturday morning and explained situation and Richard told me he could sort it that day. Was told he could cut a coded key from my worn one for a temporary fix and it would only cost $18.50. After 20 minutes Richard came back to me and told me the key worked in the door locks but wouldn't move the ignition. He then told me because there were other customers in the store and another car that he had been working on since 8am Saturday that he couldn't do anything else and to come back on Monday and he can look further into it for a further charge. Rang around and found another locksmith who replaced my key and found the key Richard had cut did not match any coding in the system and that Richard had made up a code. Very unimpressed with the customer service as I felt I had been thrown out on Saturday. When I returned to ask about why Richard had cut a random code for the key he told me he did it the best he could with what he had to GUESS with. Told me he would refund the $16.50 I had paid (I had to remind him he had charged me $18.50) and then blamed my child who was with me on Saturday for changing a safe lock (that apparently took him 2 hours to fix) and for spilling water from their bubbler. Unsure how a 3.5yr old could change a safe lock and very unimpressed with the customer service and blatant lies in order to get my money in the first place.

Would just like to say a big THANK YOU to the employees at Souter's, we are very, very happy with your service. Yesterday we were quoted $458 for a replacement key by Hyundai, plus another $150 for cutting and coding. However, after contacting Souter's today we were told they would charge us just a third of the price $200 for a replacement key. The staff were great and very helpful. Thanks for saving us hundreds of dollars, we highly recommend you.
