I've always had excellent service from Andrew Bell & Associates. It's been a seamless experience each year at tax time and on many occasions offered me professional advice at no extra cost.
I had used this accountant firm for 10 years.This year I found out that 7 years ago this firm started excluding statements, income and financial information (that was previously reported), without mentioning, or advising that the 'property ' was not being accounted anywhere. Evidence shows the Accountants even requested information about the property, that was not used in tax returns. They did not follow the legal requirements to provide terms of engagement and take no responsibility for the errors. I am now required to amend tax returns for 6 years, and faced with ATO pentalies, and they want to charge another hefty fee to submit the returns with information they missed off! We all make mistakes, we are only human, it's how we handle them that sets us apart, and this was the worst I have experienced! Very expensive, unreliable and lack duty of care to client. Official complaints being lodged with Chartered Accountants, Tax Practitioners Board and Office of Fair Trading.
